Our Story
Footwear, considered.
PASO began with a simple idea — that a shoe should be designed to be worn for years, not weeks. We are a modern footwear house working at the meeting point of craft and restraint.
Founded in Madrid, PASO — Spanish for step — was born from a frustration with footwear built to be replaced. We set out to make shoes with the opposite intent: pieces defined by proportion and material, made to move through a life and be repaired, not discarded.
A house built on the essentials
Every collection starts with a small set of silhouettes we believe in, refined over many iterations. We would rather make fewer styles exceptionally well than chase the calendar. The result is a wardrobe of footwear that works together — sneakers, boots, heels and loafers that feel like part of the same conversation.
We work with family-run workshops across Europe, many of whom have made shoes for generations. Their hands, and their standards, are in every pair.
Design with restraint
We start by removing. What remains is a shoe that lasts beyond a season — quiet, considered, unmistakably ours.
Materials that matter
Full-grain leathers, recycled knits and responsibly sourced components, chosen to age well and wear better with time.
Made to be repaired
Construction you can resole and refresh. The most sustainable shoe is the one you keep wearing.
The promise
Buy less. Choose well. Keep it longer.
We design for permanence in a throwaway category. That means better materials, honest construction, and a commitment to help you care for what you own.
